You’re going to need to press your tofu and by now, if you are a regular visitor to this site, you know that we are a big fan of this tofu press. But you can really use any tofu press so long as it keeps the block of tofu intact, without crushing or smashing it. For this recipe you want to press out as much of the liquid as possible, and then wrap the tofu in paper towels or a clean kitchen towel and gently press as much of the remaining moisture out as possible. In our recipe (below) we are going to assume that you have already taken this step.
This recipe calls for the type of water-packed tofu that you find in the refrigerated section at the supermarket, not the shelf-stable boxes. We get ours from Costco, and get fantastic results with it, but any firm water-packed tofu should work equally well.
Thank you! ❤️

Super Easy Oven-Roasted Tofu Planks Recipe in 3 Steps
Ingredients
1 block water-packed firm tofu (the kind from the refrigerated section), pressed as above.
Olive oil spray
Whatever seasoning you want, we usually use either Slap Ya Mama or FlavorGod Everything seasoning. These are both great all-in-one seasoning blends, but again, use whatever spices you want.
Directions
Preheat your oven to 425°.
Line a cookie sheet with a sheet of parchment paper. Spray the parchment-papered cookie sheet with olive oil spray so that it has a good layer of olive oil on it.
Now sprinkle your seasoning all over the olive oil spray that is on your cookie sheet, until it’s a fine layer; you don’t want it coated, and you only want one layer, but you also do want to have laid down a sweet beat..er.. fine layer of seasoning.
Take your already-pressed and patted-down (to remove as much moisture as possible, as per above) tofu and cut it into approximately 1/2-inch planks, cutting from one side to the other (not the long way).
Lay the planks down on top of the seasoning on the pan, leaving space between the planks. Sprinkle more seasoning on the planks. Again, you don’t want to cover them, but you want a fine layer of seasoning on the tops of the planks.
Now spray the tops of the planks with the olive oil spray, fully, but barely, coating them.
Put in the oven on the center rack for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes flip each plank and roast for another 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and serve, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for future use.
