This is part of our “Will it Creami?” series, in which we dump something in the Ninja Creami and see if it will turn into an edible ice cream, sorbet, or other divine frozen concoction! In this episode we try dumping premade vegan chocolate pudding into the Creami container, freezing it, and “spinning” (i.e. churning) it. In fact, it was the first thing we tried for “Will it Creami?”

Part of our reason for doing the Will it Creami? series is curiosity, and part of it is, it must be said, sheer laziness. What can we say? We’re lazy vegans. For this experiment we used the Zen brand almond milk chocolate pudding cups. But we’re betting that pretty much any premade pudding cups will work just about as well. And wow did this experiment turn out well!
Zen Almond Milk Pudding Cups
The ingredients in the Zen almond milk chocolate pudding cups are “Organic Almond milk (Filtered Water, Organic Almonds), Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Corn Starch, Organic Cocoa (Processed With Alkali), Natural Flavors, Carrageenan, Calcium Carbonate, Evaporated Salt, Organic Safflower Or Sunflower Oil, Organic Locust Bean Gum, Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin D2, Riboflavin, and Vitamin B12”
Thank you! ❤️

These are small containers of almond milk pudding, just 3 1/2 ounces each, and we put two in, so a total of 7 ounces in the bottom of that ‘deluxe’ pint, leaving dead air space of 17 ounces at the top. This was not only our first test of the Creami, but a test of whether you really could put something way down in the bottom (barely an inch at the bottom) and the Creami would still do its thing.
Well, let us tell you that we were ecstatic with the results! The Creami turned our pudding into an incredible, smooth, delicious deep chocolate ice cream! It was incredible!
We were honestly shocked at how well it worked! As we said, we used two pudding cups, and we wouldn’t go fewer than that, use at least two. In our 24oz container we can use up to 7 of the pudding cups, if you have the 16oz container it will be fewer.
Here’s the recipe!

The Happy Gluten-Free Vegan is always free, with no annoying ads or video pops, but it does cost us money out of our pocket to keep it going (over 12 years so far!) So your tips via CashApp, Venmo, or Paypal are VERY appreciated. Receipts will come from ISIPP.
