Our gluten-free vegan steak recipe is a tofu steak, and you won’t believe how delicious and juicy it is. It’s also simple and straightforward to make and, as it’s vegan, it’s also a recipe for vegetarian steak!
Our gluten-free vegan liverwurst recipe is the perfect pairing for our super-easy gluten-free vegan bread recipe! Prefer braunschweiger? We’ve got you covered there too! Either way, if you’ve been yearning for a vegan or vegetarian version of liverwurst or braunschweiger, your tastebuds will be doing a happy dance when you make this recipe for them! If you don’t want to make a sandwich of it, you can of course spread it on crackers as well.
Our gluten-free vegan breakfast sausage recipe (so of course it’s also gluten-free vegetarian sausage) is 100% the recipe that you’ve been looking for! You can make links or patties with it, and the taste is simply wonderful! And it has no crazy or weird fillers, just clean ingredients!
This is our best vegan holiday roast recipe! And, of course, it’s also gluten-free. Of course, you can make our gluten-free vegan roast recipe any time, not just during the holidays, but it seems particularly appropriate for the holidays, when all the store freezers are full of Tofurky roasts (vegan but not gluten-free) and Quorn roasts (gluten-free but not always vegan), and very little that is both gluten-free and vegan.
Our gluten-free vegan roast beef recipe is truly amazing! Once cooled and refrigerated this vegan roast beef slices beautifully, and is perfect for sandwiches! Gluten-free vegan mock meats are the holy grail of vegan meats; there are lots of great vegan meats in the stores now, but the majority of them contain vital wheat gluten, or seitan, or some other wheat or gluten ingredient. So if you’re gluten free and you’ve been craving that perfect vegan roast beef, for that perfect vegan roast beef sandwich with a bit of horseradish, here you go!
This is absolutely the best gluten-free vegan wings recipe! (It’s kind of hard for us to say “vegan chicken wings”, so we won’t, except right here to say that it’s hard to say.) Our vegan wing recipe has got just one ingredient, you make it in three easy steps, and the texture is fantastic! Dip them (or slather them) in our Copycat Primal Kitchen Buffalo Sauce!
Gluten-free vegan beef strips, also called vegan beef tips and vegan beef tenders, are really hard to find, so make your own! The problem is that all of the vegan beef tips out there (such as Gardein) are like the opposite of gluten-free; they’re glutenful, being made, most often, with vital wheat gluten. But our vegan beef tips (tenders, strips, whatever you want to call them) are not only gluten-free, but they are super tender, super tasty, and super clean! In fact, they have just three ingredients!
If you are wondering what to do with pumpkin puree that you have left over from, well, whatever, use it in our new best vegan veggie burger recipe! That’s right, these black bean pumpkin burgers are one of our new favorite black bean recipes! And, if you are anything like us, you probably already have a can of black beans and a can of pumpkin puree in your pantry!
Wondering if Skinny Butcher ‘Crazy Crispy Chicken’ products are gluten-free? Frustrated at not being able to find what are the ingredients in the Skinny Butcher ‘Crazy Crispy Chick’n’ nuggets and patties? We were too! That’s because Skinny Butcher doesn’t have their ingredients posted anywhere! So here they are, straight off the package.
Our recipe for Not Dogs tofu dogs is our favorite vegan hot dog recipe and, it turns out, our favorite gluten-free vegan hot dogs of all. (But they are not copycat Tofu Pups, because the ingredients are much cleaner.) If you are a regular reader of the Happy Gluten-Free Vegan, you already know that we recently completed our head-to-head review of the three brands of gluten-free vegan hot dogs that are available to purchase in store or online; those are Moving Mountains, Yeah Dawg, and Sweet Earth. Of those three, Sweet Earth was the clear winner for flavor and texture, while Moving Mountains was the clear winner for clean ingredients and being intentionally vegan, and Yeah Dawg was the only one that was intentionally both gluten-free and vegan, but they failed in the flavor and texture department. You know that old saying “if you want something done right you have to do it yourself”? We wanted a gluten-free vegan hot dog that had clean ingredients, good flavor, and good texture. So we decided to create one.
The third in our series of reviews of gluten-free vegan hot dogs is the Yeah Dawg review. Because all of the hot dogs reviewed in our series are vegan, they are also considered gluten-free veggie hot dogs (or gluten-free vegetarian hot dogs, if you want to be precise). Regardless of what you call them, Yeah Dawg is one of three brands of gluten-free vegan hot dogs available on the market: Yeah Dawg, Sweet Life, and Moving Mountains. Lightlife is not gluten-free, although they are headed in that direction (we have that straight from Lightlife, who cautions that while they are phasing out gluten, there is still stock out on the shelves that contains gluten).
This is the second in our series of reviews of vegan hot dogs that are also gluten-free. Sweet Earth hot dogs are not intentionally gluten-free, and maybe not even intentionally vegan, but happily they are both vegan and gluten-free. As we mention in our introduction to the vegan gluten-free hot dogs review series, there are three brands that are both vegan and gluten-free: Moving Mountains (available only at Costco online), Yeah Dawg, and these, Sweet Earth hot dogs.
Moving Mountains Vegan Gluten-Free Hot Dogs: A Review, including How to Cook Moving Mountains Hot Dogs
We start off our review series of gluten-free vegan hot dogs (also called frankfurters or franks) with Moving Mountains brand vegan hot dogs. These are gluten-free by accident, meaning that Moving Mountains didn’t set out to intentionally create a hot dog that was gluten-free as well as vegan, but create it they did. While Moving Mountains started out in 2016 by creating vegan hamburgers (not gluten-free), and added vegan hot dogs (yay, gluten-free!) to their repertoire in 2019.
The winner of the best vegan hot dogs is…. There are a total of three brands of gluten-free vegan hot dogs or gluten-free veggie hot dogs (a/k/a frankfurters or franks) on the market right now (Lightlife are not fully gluten-free): Sweet Earth vegan hot dogs (which are gluten-free by chance), Moving Mountains vegan hot dogs (also gluten-free by chance, not as an intention), and Yeah Dawg, which are not only vegan but also gluten-free by design. In this review series we will review each of them one at a time, giving our impression of them (taste, texture, ease of cooking, etc.). We’d love to know what you think of them too. (Side note: Why the heck do so many vegan things have to have gluten in them?? :~( )
Our recipe for gluten-free vegan Soy Curl bacon hit us like a bolt out of the blue (only way less painful). Vegan bacon from Soy Curls?? Why the heck not? We had recently posted our wildly popular recipe for Soy Curl pastrami, and so it wasn’t really a stretch to go from pastrami to bacon. Of course vegan bacon is something of a holy grail. There are lots products on the market that call themselves vegan bacon, and even more recipes for vegan bacon, most involving coconut, tempeh, seaweed, and even the aptly named seitan (oh hush, if you need to be gluten-free you know what we mean). But bacon from Soy Curls beats them all (at least we think so), because it has the flavor, it has the nutrition, and it has the CRISP!
Our homemade vegan pastrami recipe is so good that it has been judged “perfect” even by pastrami-loving carnivores! Have it plain, make a vegan pastrami reuben, or toss it with noodles and sauerkraut! And it’s not even complicated to make, in fact making our vegan pastrami recipe is easy! Now, of course, your vegan pastrami from Soy Curls won’t be in thin slices, but it will be in strips, perfect for putting on a sandwich with some delicious deli mustard, or with sauerkraut, vegan Russian dressing, and vegan cheese for that vegan pastrami reuben!
If you have been wondering what you can use as a vegan substitute for fried eggs (for example to make a vegan fried egg sandwich) wonder no more! Our vegan egg substitute for frying is easy, straight-forward, super-healthful, full of protein (just like eggs) and tasty as all get out! In fact, it’s actually reminiscent of fried eggs, not just in texture and looks, but in how it tastes!
Did you know that you can make gluten-free vegan “chicken” chickpea nuggets with ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry?
This vegan fried chicken recipe is incredible! Not only is the flavor right, but the texture and the overall look and feel are right too!
You will be amazed at how fabulous this vegan poached fish recipe is, and by how easy it is to make! And of course, it’s gluten-free!
